Our Story of Crème Brûlée
Torched Goodness began in May 2009 in Phoenix, AZ as the very first food truck to hit the streets of the town! Being from Los Angeles, Julia had many great meals from food trucks and came up with the idea of specializing in a unique dessert. Crème brûlée from a food truck?! Wow! Did it catch on! The first couple of years were a learning curve while working with the county to develop the rules and regulations for owning and operating a food truck within the city. By 2013, there were 84 food trucks on the streets of Phoenix! Now that is some business growth.
In 2014, Torched Goodness made the move to the Mid West and settled in the Lawrence / Kansas City area. More learning happened….food trucks are not wildly popular in winter and really tough to drive in the snow! So, Torched Goodness expanded into catering from a sweet little kitchen on Main Street in Eudora. There are now weekly corporate caterings to keep busy with, lots of private events and weddings, in addition to the food truck and crème brûlée.
We are primarily a mobile business with our green truck and catering, however there are a couple of place you can almost always finds our delicious food.
